Von der Leyen: The drones at Copenhagen airport are part of a plan and critical infrastructure is at risk

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stated that the unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) that halted flights at Denmark’s main airport in Copenhagen were part of a “pattern of ongoing challenges at our borders.”
“Our critical infrastructure is at risk,” von der Leyen said in a post on the social media platform X, adding that the events are still under investigation. (23/9/25)
