Slovenian companies involved in the project of common European interest in the field of health

Ljubljana/Brussels – The European Commission has approved state aid for the second important project of common European interest in the field of health, Tech4Cure, to support innovations in medical devices. Slovenia will participate in the project together with France, Hungary, Italy, and Slovakia. The five countries will provide up to 403 million euros in public funding, which is expected to unlock an additional 826 million euros in private investments, the Ministry of Economy announced.
For the first time since participating in important projects of common European interest, Slovenia is partnering directly with a company, namely Cosylab, while it is also represented in the project by two other consortia.
Tech4Cure, which is expected to conclude in 2036, focuses primarily on the development of innovative medical devices with advanced and new digital solutions, also designed with artificial intelligence. The goal is also to develop the concept of predictive, preventive, and personalized medicine (3P medicine). Individual projects are primarily aimed at the fields of cardiovascular diseases, pediatrics and neonatal care, oncology, and ophthalmology. (July 24)
