Orban and Le Pen vehemently attack the European Union during a meeting in France
Mormant-sur-Vernisson (France) – Several far-right European politicians denounced on Monday the European Union’s immigration policy during a meeting organized by Marine Le Pen’s National Rally called “victory celebration,” one year after the European elections in which this party came first with 31.37% of the votes.
Addressing the few thousand energized people who came to cheer her, Marine Le Pen launched a heavy attack against a European Union described as “a merchant empire, woke, ultraliberal” and accused of “putting its energy into a project of programmed war.”
The Hungarian government leader Viktor Orban embraced the conspiracy theory of the great replacement, comparing European migration policy to “an organized exchange of populations to replace the cultural foundation” of the Old continent.
In the same vein, the Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini denounced “an invasion of illegal immigrants, mainly Islamists,” which he claimed was “financed and organized in the silence of Brussels.” (June 9, 2025)
