Gladiators Extend PSL Ownership Deal

Monday was a big push to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) when 2019 winners Quetta Gladiators formally put a renewal of their franchise agreement down on the 10-year cycle. The development was announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and it is another long-term commitment of one of the most recognisable and enthusiastically followed teams in the league.

The PCB announced that Quetta Gladiators officially renewed their agreement to this day with the new evaluation. This valuation was formed after a thorough assessment done by Ernst and Young which is the world-known audit and advisory firm that performed the evaluation of all PSL franchises in the ongoing cycle.

The franchise will be under the same ownership of prominent figure in cricket Nadeem Omar who has been with the team since its beginning. Being a highly engaged domestic cricketer and a well renowned sports administrator, Omar will lead the team in another ten years.

The PCB through an official statement was pleased with the continuity of the ownership. The HBL PSL was pleased to announce that Quetta Gladiators will be operated by their existing owners in the next ten years. The revised deal indicates that the franchise believes in the upward trend and expansion of the PSL over the world.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was happy with the development and he complimented Omar on his commitment and role in the evolution of the league. He termed Omar as a meticulous gentleman who has been instrumental in the creation of a stable and loyal fan base.
