French tattoo removal specialist Ray Studios raises €10 million to scale across Europe
Ray studios, a Paris-based innovator in medical tattoo removal, announced the completion of a €10 million fundraising round in order to double the size of its network across Europe again within the next two years, while reinforcing its clinical leadership and technological edge.
The round was co-led by Factory Capital and Nickleby Capital. Nickleby Capital, which previously led the company’s two earlier funding rounds, is renewing its trust alongside several existing investors, including the US-based investment fund Gaingels and multiple international business angels.
David Rodriguez, CEO of Ray studios says: “This new round of funding allows us to accelerate our ambition: to expand Ray studios across Europe while continuing to raise the standards of safety, effectiveness, and medical excellence in tattoo removal. The loyalty of our historical investors, combined with the arrival of Factory Capital, is a strong validation of our model and long-term vision.”
Recent 2025 activity on EU-Startups shows steady investment across adjacent medical aesthetics and dermatology sectors.
France’s Innerskin today also secured €12.8 million to expand its network of aesthetics centres, while the UK-based Skin Analytics raised €17.5 million to scale its AI-driven skin-cancer detection platform across Europe. M2care closed a €26 million round to accelerate new HealthTech projects, including dermatology-focused initiatives.
Together totaling approximately €56 million, these transactions reflect a broader trend of investor confidence in clinically oriented and technology-enhanced skin-health services in 2025.
Within this context, Ray studios’ raise aligns with a Europe-wide push to scale medical-grade aesthetic services, and its French origin places it alongside other domestic players (Innerskin, M2care) that have also attracted notable investment during the year.
Founded in 2021, Ray studios combines medical expertise, advanced technology, and a science-driven methodology. Its proprietary RsAP (Ray studios Advanced Performance) protocol reportedly ensures highly effective and safe treatments, grounded in rigorous clinical standards and continuous innovation.
According to Ray studios, they are the only international network in Europe fully dedicated to laser tattoo removal performed exclusively by qualified medical doctors using state-of-the-art technology.
Following its previous funding round in 2024, the company more than doubled both its revenue and the size of its network in 2025, expanding its presence across France, Spain, and Belgium to reach 20 studios.
The company has recently strengthened its proprietary methodology, RsAP, and deployed new innovations:
- An AI – powered medical decision-support agent to enhance clinical precision.
- The first dedicated application for tattoo removal follow -up, designed to improve patient experience and treatment monitoring.
