Finland close to having the most unemployed
 
                                Brussels – Finland is getting closer to having the highest unemployment in the EU, according to aggregated statistics from Eurostat.
In September, Finnish unemployment rose to 9.8 percent, as calculated by Eurostat. Thus, there is only a 0.7 percentage point difference to Spain, where unemployment is estimated to be the highest at 10.5 percent.
Sweden remains at the third highest unemployment in the EU, with 8.7 percent.
Overall, unemployment was unchanged in September compared to August: 6 percent in the EU as a whole and 6.3 percent in the eurozone.
