With the support of the EU, Zâ Fest brings magical nights to the heart of Shkodra in Albania

The ninth edition of Zâ Fest began amidst art, history, and music while continuing the tradition of several years as a festival that unites the most unique voices of Albania and the Western Balkan region in a lively dialogue between tradition and modernity.

With the support of the European Union, for the ninth consecutive year, this festival remains an example of cultural diplomacy, where culture becomes the bridge that connects communities, encourages inclusion, and strengthens Albania’s European identity.

In this spirit, one of the highlights of the first evening was the opening of the exhibition “Me rrojt pa ik?” a nomadic collection with 15 paintings by young artists from the Adriatic-Ionian region, addressing the challenges and dreams of today’s youth. One of them, Ema Bregu from Albania, brought a bold approach to Albanian cultural heritage.

After a night filled with stories, documentaries, and music, the celebration continued with a lot of music, where over two nights at the Castle of Shkodra, a magical atmosphere was created that only Zâ Fest can bring.

The voice that resonates from the castle of Shkodra for three nights brought together the most prominent artists of the moment, merging modern art with tradition, on a stage full of emotions, intimacy, and explosive energy at once.

Part of this festival were names like Armend Rexhepagiqi, Rednex, MC Kresha & Lyrical Son, Casadilego, Petrit Çarkaxhiu, Arbër Agalliu, Lorik Cana, Rafael Hoxhaj, etc.

Zâ Fest is an annual cultural activity, created by the passion of artist Vlashent Sata, which has taken the “stage” to important places of cultural and natural heritage in Albania such as the Rozafa Castle, the museum houses of Shkodra, the Theth valley. (July 30)
