Where Are the ICC Women’s T20 2026 Warm-Ups Being Held?

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced three well-known places where warm-up games will be held before the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will take place in England and Wales.
The warm-up games for the highly anticipated tournament, which starts on June 12, 2026, in Birmingham, will take place at Cardiff’s Sophia Gardens, Derby’s County Ground, and Loughborough University.
Even though the exact dates and times for the warm-up games haven’t been set yet, these places are known for their big roles in the growth of women’s cricket and will host multiple teams getting ready for the big event.
These fields have a long history of supporting women’s cricket, and they will once again be important places before the 10th T20 World Cup.
Eight of the twelve teams who are taking part have already qualified. The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier, which will take place early next year, will decide the last four teams. The event will be bigger, with 12 teams playing 33 games over 24 days in seven famous locations in England and Wales.
All of the countries taking part will try to follow New Zealand’s achievement, as they won their first ICC Women’s T20 World Cup title in Dubai last year. The ICC announced the tournament’s fixtures and groupings last month. England will play Sri Lanka in the first match at Edgbaston, Birmingham, on June 12. The final will be at the famous Lord’s Cricket Ground on July 5.
There are six teams in Group 1: Australia, the defending champions; South Africa, the 2024 runners-up; India and Pakistan, two Asian rivals; and two teams that qualified from the Global Qualifier.
England, the host country, New Zealand, the reigning champion, Sri Lanka, the former champion West Indies, and two more qualifying teams make up Group 2.
The event will take place at seven top venues: Edgbaston, Hampshire Bowl, Headingley, Old Trafford, The Oval, Bristol County Ground, and Lord’s.
