Warm-up schedule for Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule for the warm-up games leading up to the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
From September 25 to 28, nine games will be played at four different locations. The main event will take place from September 30 to November 2. All eight countries that made it to the World Cup will compete in the warm-up matches. Each team will play two games, except for Australia, which will only play in one.
The Centre of Excellence Ground and M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, India, and the R. Premadasa Stadium and Colombo Cricket Club Ground in Colombo, Sri Lanka, are the places where the warm-ups will take place.
India “A” and Sri Lanka “A” will also take part in the warm-up phase. India “A” will play one game, and Sri Lanka “A” will play two.
The action starts on September 25 with a high-stakes match between India and England, who were finalists in 2017, in Bengaluru. At the same time, South Africa will play New Zealand at the same place.
Sri Lanka will play Pakistan in Colombo, and Bangladesh will play Sri Lanka “A.”
Australia’s only warm-up game will be against England on September 27. On the same day, Sri Lanka will play Bangladesh and India will play New Zealand.
The warm-up phase ends on September 28, when South Africa plays India “A” and Pakistan plays Sri Lanka “A.”
