The foreign ministers of China and Slovenia also discuss relations between the EU and China
Ljubljana – In Slovenia, the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited on Saturday as part of a European tour. After talks with Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon in Ljubljana, they emphasized the great importance of multilateralism in the current global situation and the significance of good relations between the EU and China, which they believe are in both parties’ interest.
The Foreign Minister highlighted the importance of stable relations between the EU and China, stressing that these are in both parties’ interest. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang stated that Europe and China should cooperate and be friends, not competitors.
The ministers also discussed other current issues, particularly the war in Ukraine and Gaza, as well as other global topics, including the importance of maintaining stability in the Asia-Pacific region.
Wang was separately received by Prime Minister Robert Golob and President Nataša Pirc Musar. (September 13)
