PSL 10 points after Islamabad United beat Karachi Kings

In the 10th PSL encounter held at the National Bank Stadium on Sunday, defending champions Islamabad United secured a thorough six-wicket victory over Karachi Kings.
First sent into bat, the home side could only score 128/7 in their allocated 20 overs since none of their hitters could play a significant innings against a disciplined United bowling attack. Tim Seifert top-scored for the Kings with a scratchy 30 off 37 deliveries; next best came from their number nine Abbas Afridi, who performed a quickfire cameo of 24 runs from just nine balls.
Their skipper Shadab Khan led the way with a 40-ball 47 top-score. Wicketkeeper hitter Azam Khan helped him; he mustered 31 off 30 deliveries.
With eight points after just four games aside from a strong net run rate of 2.544, the triumph not only enhanced the position of the three-time winners at the top of the points table but also stretched their winning run to four.
With four points in four games, the Kings, who lost their second PSL 10 defeat, stayed third but suffered a setback to their net run rate, which today is negative 0.343.
With four points in three games and an amazing net run rate of 2.051, two-time champions Lahore Qalandars occupy second position.
With two points in three games, Arch-rivals Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi hold the next two places; the former boasts a bleakly better net run rate. At the bottom are Multan Sultans champions and runner-up from last edition since they have not yet won any of their three PSL 10 games.
