PCB Reviews Central Contracts Ahead of Busy Season

Chairman Mohsin Naqvi presided over a high-level conference at Gaddafi Stadium to go over forthcoming series and internal preparations, so preparing the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for a crowded international calendar.
Important topics of conversation during the conference were international trips to the West Indies and Bangladesh, central contracts, forthcoming home series against South Africa and Sri Lanka.
Emphasising the need of local involvement by centrally contracted players, Chairman Naqvi guided PCB authorities to start the process of settling central contracts.
“All foreign players must participate in at least one domestic event,” Naqvi underlined. Usman Wahla, Director of International Cricket, gave guests updates on forthcoming overseas matches.
Head Coach Mike Hesson, Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, Team Manager Naved Akram Cheema, Director of High Performance Centers Aaqib Javed, and national team captain Salman Agha also made attendance to the conference.
The board reaffirmed its will to keep a competitive local system in order to generate top-notch players ready for international responsibilities.

Sources state that the team will reach Dhaka on July 18; the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur will host the games scheduled for July 20, 22, and 24. Following the end of the Bangladesh trip, Pakistan will go the Caribbean for a white-ball series against the West Indies, including three ODIs and three T20Is from July 31 to August 12.
Pakistan is set to host South Africa in October–November for a series comprising both white-ball and red-ball matches while the Asia Cup 2025 is yet unknown. In November Sri Lanka will wrap off their international campaign with a three-match ODI and T20I series against Pakistan.
