Norwegian HealthTech startup Noteless raises €3.5 million to tackle doctor burnout
Noteless, the Oslo-based AI company innovating how doctors document patient consultations, has successfully raised €3.5 million in new Seed funding in order to expand its AI-powered clinical documentation platform to more European markets and support wider adoption among clinicians.
The round was led by Redstone joining as a new investor, alongside Futurum Ventures and Farvatn Venture, who continue their support.
“We’ve seen incredible adoption in the Nordics, where more than one in four general practitioners now use Noteless in Norway, and one in seven in Denmark” said William Vossgård, CEO and co-founder of Noteless. “Clinicians tell us we’re giving them back up to two hours a day, time they can spend with patients or on their own wellbeing. This investment will help us bring that impact to clinicians across Europe.”
Other similar companies to Noteless have also raised funding this year, providing a snapshot to the flow of funding and ideas across the continent.
For example, Berlin-based Aiomics secured €2 million in pre-Seed funding to expand its AI-driven healthcare documentation platform across diverse care settings. Meanwhile, Stockholm-based Tandem Health raised a substantially larger €42.6 million Series A to scale its real-time medical notes assistant and extend its reach across several European markets.
Taken together, these rounds – around €48 million across three companies in 2025 – reflect a clear trend: investors are backing startups that aim to reduce administrative overhead in healthcare by using AI for clinical documentation and workflow automation.
Noteless’s Seed round puts it in a competitive early-stage group alongside Aiomics, while Tandem’s much larger Series A suggests the market sees strong potential for scaling such solutions across Europe.
Founded in 2023, Noteless is an AI-powered clinical documentation tool that automatically generates medical notes while doctors and patients talk. By using speech recognition and natural language processing, Noteless looks to help clinicians save time, reduce burnout, and improve patient care.
Noteless launched its first product in June 2024. The team has since grown to 35 employees across Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands, processing over 3 million consultations and supporting over 100k consultations each week.
“Noteless is solving one of the biggest inefficiencies in healthcare through AI-driven technology,” said Lucas Paul, Investment Director at Redstone. “The company’s innovative approach and rapid adoption show it is well-positioned to redefine clinical documentation across Europe.”
Noteless believes that medical documentation has long been a source of frustration for clinicians, consuming hours that could otherwise be spent with patients or on professional development.
Noteless addresses this challenge, offering an AI-powered scribe that automatically generates accurate medical notes in real time during consultations.
Its paying customer base has grown by more than 360% since the beginning of this year, now serving around 3,000 clinicians across Norway, Denmark, and new markets including the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands.
The platform is also gaining traction beyond general practice. Specialist doctors, physiotherapists, and psychologists are also reportedly adopting Noteless.
