Brett Lee Picks Only Two Pakistanis in Asian XI

On Tuesday, Brett Lee, a renowned Australian batsman, named his all-time Asian T20I side. It had only two Pakistanis and five Indians. The 17th ACC Men’s Asia Cup started at the Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, with Afghanistan playing Hong Kong in the first game.

During his interview with Fox Sports, Lee, who played for Australia in 76 Tests, 221 ODIs, and 25 T20Is from 1999 to 2012, was asked to name his all-time Asian T20I squad.

The former bowler chose India’s Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as the openers for his team. He also chose Pakistan’s wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan, who is sixth on the list of all-time best run-scorers in the shortest format, and speedy Haris Rauf.

“Because of what he’s done, I think Rizwan should absolutely get a chance to be on that all-time T20I team. Also, the Lee remarked on Rizwan, “Now, the guess is that he’s not going to play in this series, which is surprising to me.”

“Plus, he has the speed and balls at the end,” he remarked.

Lee also chose India’s MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah, as well as Rashid Khan from Afghanistan and Wanindu Hasaranga from Sri Lanka.

He also chose three players from associate nations: Babar Hayat from Hong Kong, Amjad Javed and Mohammad Naveed from the UAE, and cricketers from well-known Asian countries.
