Australia Cricket Record Breaks in Pakistan T20I
Australia also established a new world record of wicket number of the ninth in T20 cricket yet lost to Pakistan in the first of the series at Gaddafi Stadium. Bartlett and Adam Zampa provided a 34 run unbeaten stand to the ninth wicket to the visitors. The partnership led to a 23-run ninth-wicket T20 Australian record.
Australia did not do well during their innings despite the record. The team lost numerous wickets in pursuit of 169. Before the score went past 100, six batsmen had been sent home. It was at 112 eight to one, and chances of winning were slim. Zampa and Bartlett attempted to level out the innings but the bowlers of Pakistan continued to push back. Australia completed with 146 out of eight and lost by 22.
The captain of Pakistan Salman Ali Agha won the toss and they batted first. The home side had a tough target of 168 to eight over 20 overs. Pakistan star (Saim Ayub) made 40 out of 22 balls. Three hits were boundaries, and two hits were sixes. Salman Ali Agha also gave 39 runs with four sixes and a boundary. Their results made Pakistan record a competitive score.
Salman Ali Agha focused on the matchmaking of the team batting and bowling. We had a good beginning with the bat and had a good holding with the ball. It was a tremendous difference, our spin attack, said he. The bowlers of Pakistan especially in the second half of the year limited Australia.
Saim Ayub was the Player of the Month due to his demolition innings. His lightning runs contributed to establishment of a goal which Australia struggled to keep up with. Pakistan takes the lead against the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 with a three-match T20 series 1-0.
