In the sixth match of the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, 2016 champions India defeated archrivals Pakistan by seven wickets.
Pakistan scored 127/9 in 20 overs after batting first, despite Sahibzada Farhan’s bravery and Shaheen Shah Afridi’s late surge. Farhan scored a cautious 40 off 40 deliveries with three sixes and a four, while Shaheen hit four sixes in a 16-ball 33.
India easily defeated the modest score with three wickets and 25 balls to spare. The Men in Blue’s captain Suryakumar Yadav struck an unbeaten 47 off 37 deliveries with five fours and a six, while opener Abhishek Sharma and middle-order batter Tilak Varma hit 31 each.
