Alpha Sports Acquires Sialkot Stallions PSL
Australia based OZ Group partners with Alpha Sports in which they jointly own Sialkot Stallions PSL. The relocation is a refreshing move to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in preparation of its 11th season. The new franchise has been 75 percent acquired by Alpha Sports which is the largest distributor of sports medicine, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation products in Australia.
The partnership will enhance the team formation, performance and general development of the Sialkot Stallions. Both Alpha Sports and OZ Group are well-established brands in the Australian sports investment and management circles. They are jointly determined to establish Stallionz as a competitive and high performance PSL club.
This development is thrilling to the fans of the Sialkot Stallions and it comes just weeks following the official induction of the franchise into PSL 11. The team was purchased by Hamza Majeed and Kamil Khan OZ Developers at the historic PSL 2026 auction at 1.85 billion. This caused the Stallions to be the most expensive franchise ever in the history of PSL.
The next PSL 11 will be launched on March 26 and the matches will take place in the five major Pakistan venues. So, the introduction of Sialkot Stallions with the support of powerful international partners is likely to introduce a new competitive advantage to the league. Analysts are of the view that the joint venture can also enhance player development and general team strategy.
The fact that the Stallions will have a pioneering advantage in the fitness of the players and the management of injuries is likely to be attributed to the expertise of Alpha Sports in the field of sports science and rehabilitation. Thus, the collaboration is regarded as a significant move to make the PSL profile higher and establish new standards of managing a team.
