US should fix the gender gap in refugee protection
The Board of Immigration Appeals denied a Salvadoran woman asylum, ruling that her claim that Salvadoran women constitute a group at risk of persecution was too broad and insufficiently particular, despite international and U.S. precedents recognizing gender as a protected ground for asylum.
