I have expensive taste but a decidedly non-expensive budget. This internal conflict plays out periodically as I browse home decor websites, adding beautiful items to my cart only to have to close the tab when reality kicks in. That's why I love exploring ALDI's weekly finds so much. And when I spotted the Crofton glass appetizer bowls during my latest ALDI run, I was seriously impressed.

With their vintage-inspired beaded edges, these stunning bowls look exactly like the Jupiter Beaded Glass Cereal Bowls I've been coveting from Pottery Barn. But, as with all of ALDI's dupes, they're sold at a fraction of the price.

Why I Love ALDI's Beaded Glass Appetizer Bowls

If you've ever browsed the Pottery Barn website, you've likely admired the Jupiter bowls. The charming, vintage-inspired beauties are fun and whimsical and add instant character to any kitchen or table setting. But at $48 for six bowls, they aren't friendly to the average budget.

ALDI's bowls, on the other hand, are near-identical dupes featuring the same elegant beaded rim design on the entire exterior. They're priced at just $9.99 for a set of four—making each bowl about $2.50 compared to Pottery Barn's $8 version.

ALDI’s bowls are 10.8 ounces in size and come in two colorways: a delightfully colorful set containing a mustardy yellow and some muted pastels that bring fun pops of color to the table, and clear glass for a more versatile, timeless look. While smaller than the Pottery Barn bowls (they're marketed as appetizer bowls rather than cereal bowls), they’re a more preferable size for me.

How I Use ALDI's Beaded Glass Bowls

Unless I'm having a grain bowl, eating pasta, or enjoying a bowl of soup, I don’t want to eat out of really large bowls. I also have two small kids, and they tend to eat smaller portions of all these things in addition to yogurt, salads, oatmeal, and desserts. So, the ALDI bowls are the ideal size for my family.

They're also the perfect size for holding dips like guacamole, salsa, and hummus for sharing. They're great for snacks like olives, pretzels, and nuts and for organizing baking prep ingredients or other mise en place. They also make adorable ice cream bowls for everyday use—in case you need another reason to eat more ice cream!

The quality is impressive too. The glass has a substantial feel, and the beaded detail adds charming visual interest and a genuinely tantalizing texture that tickles my brain in the right way when I handle them. And if you have open-shelf kitchen storage, these bowls are like pieces of art.

At $9.99 for four bowls, I feel the need to tell everyone I know to run (not walk) to grab a set while they're still available. If you appreciate beautiful, practical kitchen items, these beaded bowls are worth a trip to ALDI.
