These last-chance Prime Day MacBook deals save you up to $850 (!) after Apples price hikes

Let's start with the bad news first: Apple's price hikes are here. As of June 25, select Apple products are at least $100 more expensive than before. That includes the full MacBook lineup — the MacBook Air, the MacBook Pro, and even the budget MacBook Neo. Bummer.
Now for the good news. Amazon's flagship Prime Day megasale is still live through the end of the day today (June 26), and most MacBooks are still in stock there with price cuts. They're not tagged as being on sale, but if you compare their prices with the Apple Store's new MSRPs for the same models, they're up to $850 (!) cheaper on Amazon right now.
Take the MacBook Neo. The base model is marked down to $589.99 this Prime Day. Originally, that was only a $9.01 discount on its $599 MSRP. But as of now, it's really a $109.01 savings given the Apple Store's adjusted starting price of $699.
MacBook prices as low as these will probably be very rare going forward, so if you're on the fence about an upgrade, I would absolutely recommend shopping Amazon's Prime Day MacBook deals. I've rounded up the best ones below and will continue to update my list based on current pricing and availability. I'm marking any record-lows I encounter with a 🔥. (Deals with a strikethrough weren't available at the time of writing, but could return before Prime Day ends.)
I'd also encourage you to check out competing retailers' anti-Prime Day sales — namely, Costco's Member Appreciation Days event. It's matching a lot of Prime Day MacBook offers, so if they sell out on Amazon, you've got a fallback plan. Better yet, none of the ones I've found are actually restricted to Costco members.
Best Prime Day MacBook Neo deal
Apple's colorful new budget laptop is faster than most Windows laptops in basic single-core workloads, and it has the same premium build quality as Apple's other MacBooks. Amazon has been selling the base configuration for $589.99 for a few weeks now. That wasn't a great deal until yesterday, when the Apple Store bumped its MSRP from $599 to $699. It's a real last-chance steal: Once this deal dries up, the Neo will only be $599 for college students, their parents, and teachers on a regular basis (via Apple's education pricing). Take your pick from the silver, blush, and citrus colorways. You'll find this deal at Costco, too.

Best Prime Day MacBook Air deal
The M5 MacBook Air is a class-leading ultraportable with a zippy processor, two full workdays' worth of battery life, and a premium, polished design. (Haptic touchpad? Check. Crisp Liquid Retina display? Check. Speakers that sound better than anything you'll find on the average Windows PC? Checkity-check.) The 15-inch base configuration is on sale for $1,149 this Prime Day, which is $350 off its new sticker price of $1,499. Only Costco was matching this deal at the time of writing.

Best Prime Day MacBook Pro deal
The M5 MacBook Pro is a creative-forward upgrade with a gorgeous 120Hz Liquid Retina XDR (mini-LED) display, a longer battery life, and extra ports like an SDXC card slot. It also has built-in fans, unlike the MacBook Air, so you're less likely to experience thermal throttling when you run demanding software on it. Amazon has the 1TB base model listed for $1,549.99 this Prime Day. That's 22% off its newly higher price of $1,999, or a $449.01 savings. Costco is coming in clutch with another price-match here.
