Mega Lucario, Mega Venusaur, Mega Gardevoir, and more are here with standard ex and Secret Art Rares in this absolute banger of a base set. If you were around for the X and Y era of Pokémon TCG, Mega Evolution was frankly ridiculous. Every EX card from the time was a basic Pokémon, so no need for evolution, just Mega Evolution and Spirit Link cards to help you play them sooner. People's decks were ridiculous, with many forgetting about Common and Uncommon cards.
Mega Evolution is far more balanced this time around, with the usual evolution mechanics being in place, bar the exception of Pokémon like Absol who would have a basic ex card as it doesn't evolve by normal means.
