ALDI has saved me many times while meal prepping. From frozen quinoa and riced cauliflower to Italian meatballs and my family’s favorite Mama Cozzi’s pizzas, I’ve found endless products that help me get meals on the table fast.

I recently discovered another timesaver in the grocer’s freezer section: Season’s Choice Garden Fresh Three Pepper & Onion Blend.

Why I Love ALDI Season’s Choice Garden Fresh Three Pepper & Onion Blend

For just $1.99, the Three Pepper & Onion Blend gives you a pound of perfectly sliced veggies. As its name implies, it’s a combination of white onions and green, red, and yellow bell peppers. Nothing else is added—no sugar, salt, or preservatives—just freshly frozen veggies.

What makes this frozen combination worthy of space in my freezer is its versatility. My husband and son love all things Tex-Mex, and this combo works so well to create fajitas, tacos, and enchiladas without necessary chopping. Just add some sliced, cooked chicken breast or leftover steak, sauté them with the veggies, and toss them onto tortillas to make a crowd-pleasing meal in minutes.

Fajitas and tacos aren’t the only things the onion and pepper blend can enhance. It’s perfect for making veggie omelets and is also a great addition to breakfast casseroles and quiches.

It is perfect for making steak and pepper or chicken and pepper stir-fries or fried rice. It would also be great with tofu and some frozen broccoli as a vegetarian meal.

The other night, my 15-year-old son wanted to make crab cakes since we had crabmeat and dried bread crumbs on hand. He grabbed about a cup of the Season’s Choice Garden Fresh Three Pepper & Onion Blend, warmed it in the microwave for about 60 seconds, then diced it and added it to his crabmeat, bread crumbs, and spices. He absolutely nailed those crab cakes—they were so, so good—and I could see us doing the same with salmon cakes or veggie burgers.

My hope is that this here today, gone tomorrow special at ALDI’s gets added to their freezer lineup permanently. In the meantime, I’m going to stock up on a few bags before they’re gone.
