Subjects from North Macedonia can apply for funding for green projects from the #EULIFE25 program

Skopje – North Macedonia is the only country in the Western Balkan region whose entities can participate in the announced competition for the allocation of 600 million euros for financing environmental projects within the #EULIFE25 program.

On this occasion, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning of North Macedonia, Izet Mehmeti, today called on the domestic academic community, local self-governments, scientific and educational institutions, the private sector, and civil society organizations to take this opportunity and apply directly for one of the open calls, with the aim of turning green ideas into concrete projects supported by the EU.

The LIFE Program supports projects in four key areas: nature and biodiversity protection, circular economy, climate action – mitigation and adaptation, and clean energy and sustainable resources.

– Your ideas, visions, and initiatives for a sustainable future can now be supported with significant European funds, Mehmeti wrote on social media.

To be part of the program, interested parties should register to follow the virtual #EULife25 info days from May 13 to 15, where they have the opportunity to receive advice and guidance on filling out applications directly from European experts. (May 6, 2025)
