Spain's Balearics to allow building in pristine nature to fix housing shortage
Faced with a housing crisis, the regional government in the Balearic Islands on Tuesday approved plans to allow the construction of new homes on rural land where building was previously banned, including in a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site.
