Slovenia successful in the Creative Europe program call

Ljubljana – Slovenian organizations have been successful in the culture call for European cooperation projects for the year 2024 of the Creative Europe program. Among a total of 159 supported projects, as many as 35 are included in 30 projects. Some of them are included multiple times, which represents almost a fifth of all support, the Motovila organization, which carries out the tasks of the Creative Europe Center in Slovenia, announced on Friday.
Particularly noteworthy is the fact that eleven Slovenian organizations are taking on the role of consortium leader, placing Slovenia third among 40 participating countries. Within the selected projects, Slovenian organizations will establish as many as 137 international connections with partners from 33 European countries, mostly from Italy (13 connections), Serbia (ten), and Poland (nine).
The total EU support for Slovenian organizations amounts to approximately 3.8 million euros, with project leaders from Slovenia receiving 1.6 million euros. The commission has thus allocated as much as 6.3 percent of the available funds to Slovenian organizations. Supported were organizations based throughout Slovenia, mostly non-governmental and public, three companies, and a private higher education institution.
Compared to the call for 2023, the number of projects led by Slovenian organizations has significantly increased; there were four in the 2023 call, while there are 11 in 2024. Slovenian organizations have also secured more funds overall: approximately 2.3 million euros in 2023, and 3.8 million euros in 2024. (April 25)
