Silvio Schembri is a Maltese politician and academic currently serving as Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects. A Member of Parliament since 2013, he has held several senior government roles over the years, including Minister for the Economy, EU Funds and Lands, Minister for the Economy and Industry, and Parliamentary Secretary for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation.
With a background in economics, he also has experience as a lecturer in economics and has worked across areas including political communication, negotiation, sustainable development, and economic policy. Throughout his time in government, he has been closely involved in initiatives linked to innovation, digital transformation, and enterprise growth in Malta.
