Pakistan Ready for England Tour: Saud Shakeel

Saud Shakeel, captain of the Pakistan Shaheens, said he was sure that his squad was ready for their tour of England, which will start on Tuesday. Saud told the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Digital the day before their next game that the team had plenty of time to improve their talents, even though the weather got in the way.

“It takes a few days to get used to how things are in England. We are making good progress, no matter what chances we have to get ready. “We started training with the white ball because the tour will start with one-day matches,” Shakeel remarked.

“There were some problems with the weather; it rained for a few days, but we made the most of every chance we got,” he said. The Test cricketer also called the upcoming tour a “opportunity” for young players to impress the selectors by playing well.

“They also have a pretty good bench strength. They choose players for the England squad, and we are in the same boat. Shakeel went on to say, “I think it will be a good series.”

“We have a lot of talented young people, and they all have a chance to do well here and catch the attention of the selectors.”

“Playing on these kinds of tours gives you a different kind of confidence, and then it’s time for international cricket.” So, this is a good indicator, and more excursions like this should be planned.

The Pakistan Shaheens will start their tour of England with a three-match one-day series against the Professional County Club Select XI. This series will take place from July 22 to 27.
