Zagreb – The Slovenian Minister for Cohesion Aleksander Jevšek discussed cooperation within the European Interreg Slovenia-Croatia program in Zagreb with the Croatian Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butković, where 88 projects are currently underway, worth a total of 52 million euros.

At the event marking the third edition of the business magazine Next Business: Slovenia-Croatia, which connects the economies of both countries, Jevšek highlighted active collaboration with Croatian partners within the Interreg Slovenia-Croatia program, where 88 projects are currently underway, worth a total of 52 million euros. He also announced that 110 new projects will be selected in December, which will utilize the funds.

According to Jevšek, Slovenia has also launched the Step mechanism – a platform for strategic technologies for Europe, through which 160 million euros will be allocated to companies that will be able to be more competitive in the European and global markets, including in collaboration with Croatian partners.

The event marking the release of the business magazine Next Business was also attended by the Slovenian and Croatian Ministers of Economy Matjaž Han and Ante Šušnjar, who emphasized the strength of good economic relations between the two countries. Šušnjar also highlighted the encouraging investment environment in Croatia, while Han acknowledged the need for tax relief on Slovenian wages. (October 29)
