Lithuanian cybersecurity startup CBRX raises €540k to accelerate European expansion

Vilnius-based cybersecurity startup CBRX has raised €540k in pre-seed funding to further develop its cloud-based cybersecurity platform and expand across the European Union. The funding round included participation from venture capital fund Coinvest Capital, along with Scalewolf, Plug and Play Tech Centre, and Firstpick.
CBRX helps managed service providers (MSPs) transition into managed security service providers (MSSPs) quickly and cost-effectively. Its AI-powered platform automates incident management, threat monitoring, analysis, and customer support, enabling IT service providers to offer cybersecurity services without significant upfront investment or large expert teams.
“This investment round is especially important for us, as it allows us to accelerate what we already see as an inevitable shift in the market – traditional IT service providers (MSPs) are moving into the field of cybersecurity and becoming MSSPs,” said Kazimieras Sadauskas, CEO of CBRX. “Our goal is to help them make this transition quickly, without upfront costs, complex infrastructure, or the need for an expensive team of experts. This enables service providers to start serving clients today, not months or years from now.”
Coinvest Capital contributed €270k to the round, marking its 80th investment and bringing its total portfolio to 51 companies. “The solution developed by CBRX significantly accelerates cybersecurity processes and enhances overall business resilience against growing digital threats,” said Viktorija Trimbel, Managing Director at Coinvest Capital. “By democratising access to advanced security technologies, this startup contributes to building a safer Europe. We believe the company has all the prerequisites to become a major player in Europe’s cybersecurity ecosystem.”
The majority of the funds will be used to strengthen CBRX’s presence in key European markets, particularly in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and the Nordics. The company will also invest in product development, focusing on enhancing its AI capabilities to further automate cybersecurity incident management and reduce human error.
In addition, CBRX plans to grow its team, prioritising the recruitment of product development and AI specialists to support the platform’s evolution and expand functionality, allowing MSPs to deliver advanced cybersecurity services more efficiently.
