Kallas is visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina today

Sarajevo, (Fena) – The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina today.

Kallas will start her visit at the Butmir military camp, where she will be welcomed by the commander of the EUFOR Althea Mission, Major General Florin-Marian Barbu, and will meet with members of the forces deployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She will also meet in the afternoon with the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, as well as with members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Kallas will conclude her visit with a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, with whom she held a meeting in Brussels last month.

– She is well aware of the situation in the Western Balkans. We talked about our two extremes. One is the European perspective, which is still alive, but of course, if we could solve the problem called Milorad Dodik. I informed Kallas about both extremes and mentioned some things that perhaps were not known in Brussels – said Konaković at that time.

Kallas was in Montenegro yesterday, where at a press conference with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, she stated that attacks on unity and the constitutional order in BiH cannot be tolerated.

– Politicians have a responsibility to work together. We have increased the number of our troops on the ground. I think it is important that a security vacuum does not arise – said the High Representative of the EU yesterday. (08.04.)
