Greek yacht-lending platform BOATSCRIBE raises €250k to make yachting accessible

EU-Startups has learned that Athens-based BOATSCRIBE, a metasearch platform for yacht rentals, has raised over €250k in pre-Seed to make yachting a mainstream and accessible part of global travel experiences and services.

The round was led by Sylke Hizli and Osman Hizli from EOS Yacht Charter, with participation from Andrew Tsarenko from Stark Shipping.

Within the next three years, our goal is to be the company that turns the yacht charter industry upside down,” said Illia Kolomoiskyi, Co-founder and CEO of BOATSCRIBE. “We want to bring an entirely new, active, and high-spending audience into yachting – and serve as the bridge between travellers and charter partners worldwide.”

Founded in 2023, BOATSCRIBE was created by tech entrepreneurs and skippers Illia Kolomoiskyi and Kyrylo Soliar, who saw an unexploited opportunity: simplifying yacht rentals and integrating them into the wider travel planning process.

They are a metasearch platform for yacht rentals, aggregating more than 36,000 yachts across 1,000+ destinations worldwide. The platform enables travelers to instantly compare yacht prices and availability while providing charter companies and brokers with access to new demand streams.

BOATSCRIBE was also one of the 10 Pitch Competition Finalists at last year’s FutureTravel Summit.

This funding is more than capital – it marks one of the few cases where players inside the yachting industry invest in each other, rather than relying solely on outside capital or acquisitions,” Kolomoiskyi added.

On the consumer side, it will deliver personalised yacht and destination recommendations based on hundreds of traveler preferences. On the B2B side, BOATSCRIBE’s AI will equip charter companies and online brokers with automation tools to eliminate repetitive tasks in sales and support, boosting efficiency across the industry.

By combining B2C discovery with B2B automation, BOATSCRIBE is positioning itself as a catalyst for growth in one of the last untapped verticals of global travel.

BOATSCRIBE’s integration roadmap includes partnerships with major global travel platforms such as Tripadvisor, Google Things To Do, and lastminute.com.
