Eurostat: Inflation steady at 2.2% in April in the Eurozone

The annual inflation in the eurozone is expected to be 2.2% in April 2025, unchanged compared to March, according to a preliminary estimate from Eurostat, which was made public.

Examining the main components of inflation in the eurozone, services are expected to have the highest annual rate in April (3.9%, compared to 3.5% in March), followed by food, alcohol, and tobacco (3.0%, compared to 2.9% in March), non-energy industrial goods (0.6%, unchanged compared to March), and energy (-3.5%, compared to -1.0% in March).

In Greece, inflation is estimated to decrease to 2.7% in April from 3.1% in March.

In April, the highest levels of inflation in the eurozone are recorded by Estonia (4.4%), Latvia and the Netherlands (4.1% both), Slovakia and Croatia (3.9% both), and Lithuania (3.6%).

The lowest levels of inflation in the eurozone in April are recorded by France (0.8%), Cyprus (1.3%), Luxembourg (1.7%), and Finland (2%). (02/5/25)
