“EU4Schools” also in the north of Albania, the kindergarten and nursery in Rubik are being rebuilt

The Municipality of Mirditë in northern Albania is one of the 11 municipalities benefiting from the “EU for Schools” program.

In the Administrative Unit of Rubik of this municipality, “EU4Schools” has made it possible to rebuild the kindergarten & nursery “Bleta Punëtore,” bringing hope and high standards through modern educational infrastructure.

For about 2 and a half years now, this rebuilt facility has welcomed children from Rubik and teaching staff in contemporary spaces with thermal insulation, efficient electrical and hydro-sanitary installations, heating-cooling systems, and fire protection, security camera systems, ramps for access for persons with disabilities, efficient outdoor lighting, etc.

The “EU4Schools” program is funded by the European Union with 75 million euros and is implemented by UNDP in Albania in cooperation with the Albanian government.

So far, in the context of this project, 61 out of 63 educational facilities have been completed in 11 municipalities affected by the 2019 earthquake, impacting the lives of over 25,000 children, students, and teachers. (August 15)
