EP has banned access to its offices for all representatives of Iran
Brussels – The European Parliament has banned access to all its offices for all members of Iran’s diplomatic staff and all other representatives of Iran, announced the President of the European Parliament Roberta Mecola.
”We cannot continue as usual. This house will not help legitimize the regime in Iran that has been maintained through torture, repression and killings,” Mecola wrote on her account on the X network.
Protests in Iran began in Tehran on December 28 last year due to the fall in value of the Iranian currency and economic difficulties in the country, and since then they have spread to more than 100 cities and towns across all Iranian provinces. (January 12)
