ECO Routes funded by the EU aims to promote sustainable tourism in Kukës

Nature and sustainable tourism come together thanks to the ECO Routes project, funded by the European Union in Albania.
Participants in the “Reel the Site” competition visited the Topojan waterfall in the Kukës area in northeastern Albania, where they explored the developed hiking trails to connect people with nature and promote cross-border tourism.
The “Reel the Site” video competition is an initiative to promote cultural heritage, tourism, and raise awareness of the support of the European Union in Albania.
In addition to the Topojan waterfall, part of the “Eco Routes” project is the Adventure Park in Shishtavec, a space for all ages that brings outdoor activities and makes the area even more attractive to visitors.
The ECO Routes project aims to promote sustainable development and increase visits to the Kukës and Rahovec areas, encouraging cross-border cooperation and turning this region into a destination for ecotourism.
The project aims to develop and promote ecotourism routes that minimize environmental impact and maximize benefits for local communities.
By highlighting the natural and cultural attractions in the Kukës and Rahovec regions, Eco Routes aims to stimulate tourism and economic growth in both areas. (August 12)
