Barcelona-based 011h raises €20 million to accelerate low-carbon, tech-driven construction

Barcelona-based construction technology company 011h has raised €20 million in a new funding round led by Ship2B Ventures and CDTI (Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación). Existing investors, including Seaya Ventures, Breega Venture II, and the French fund Sicar, also took part, alongside industry entrepreneurs such as Alex Valls (Social Point, Exoticca), José Ojeda (GFG, Lyst), and Juan Velayos (formerly of Renta Corporación and Neinor Homes).
The funding marks the final planned round before 011h shifts its focus toward expanding its recurring business model. Founded in 2020 by Lucas Carné and José Manuel Villanueva — the entrepreneurs behind fashion e-commerce platform Privalia — along with Josep Barberá and Carlos Llibre, 011h is reimagining how buildings are designed and constructed through a fully digital, sustainable, and industrialised approach.
The company specialises in modular buildings that use sustainable materials such as engineered wood, light metal structures, and prefabricated concrete. Its platform connects design, production, and construction processes into one digital system, significantly reducing waste, emissions, and delivery times while increasing transparency across the supply chain.
011h currently has housing developments worth €50 million under construction across Spain, including projects with AEDAS Homes, Culmia, and Renta Corporación. It has also secured commitments for an additional €100 million in projects for 2026.
“Traditional construction remains one of the world’s most inefficient industries,” said co-founder Lucas Carné. “Our mission is to prove that building can be faster, cleaner, and more sustainable by integrating technology, modularity, and digital design. This latest funding round brings us closer to scaling that vision.”
With projects such as Habitat Hospitalet (Barcelona), Fioresta (Alicante), and Casernes (Barcelona) already completed, and others like Distrito Z (Málaga) and Mar de Calonge (Girona) underway, 011h expects to deliver more than 600 new homes by 2027.
Robin Weninger, Partner at Ship2B Ventures, commented: “011h represents the future of sustainable construction — one that merges environmental responsibility with digital efficiency. We are proud to support a company that is redefining how cities are built for future generations.”
The company’s integrated, low-carbon model positions it as one of Europe’s most promising players in sustainable real estate and industrialised construction.
