Azerbaijan faces decline in rail freight amid rising passenger traffic in 6M2025
In the first half of 2025, Azerbaijan transported about 9 million tons of cargo and nearly 5 million passengers by rail. While freight volumes declined year-on-year, passenger transport saw a strong double-digit increase.
