Asia Cup 2025: Suryakumar Excited for Pakistan Clash

Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of India, said on Wednesday that he was looking forward to the exciting ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 match against Pakistan, which will be played here at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
India, the defending champions, began their Asia Cup 2025 campaign with a record-breaking win over the United Arab Emirates (UAE) here. India chose to bat first, and their bowlers had UAE out for just 57 runs in 13.1 overs. Kuldeep Yadav, a left-arm spinner, was the star of the show with four wickets.
In response, India easily batted down the 58-run goal, losing only one wicket and having 93 balls left.
Yadav said during the post-match presentation that he chose to bowl first so he could see how the pitch would behave in the second innings. He also said he was happy with how the team played.
“Wanted to know how the wicket was doing. The identical thing happened in the second innings. Yadav said, “The boys did well in the game. We wanted them to have a good attitude and energy on the pitch, and that’s what we got.”
The right-handed hitter went on to say that the players knew what to expect here because they had just been here for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. He then praised Kuldeep.
“Recently, a lot of the boys were here for the Champions Trophy. The wicket looked good, but it was a little slow, and the spinners had a part to play.” “It’s really hot here right now, and Kuldeep did well. He got good help from Hardik, Dube, and Bumrah,” the Indian skipper said next.
Yadav then praised Abhishek Sharma, the top-ranked T20I hitter, for setting the “tone” for chasing down the target in just 4.3 overs. He also talked about how excited he was for the big game against Pakistan.
“He is the World number one batter for a reason. He sets the tone, whether we chase 200 or 50. It’s amazing what he does.” Everyone is looking forward to the game with Pakistan.
